OMGWTFWWI Day 1

Holy shiatz, so much excitingness I actually got a mix of goose bumps with teary eyes and a lil bit of a shaking sensation. Why? well, why not. Let’s see…

DIABLO 3 is coming! Many of us knew that already but now it is official!. I’m downloading the high resolution trailer right now and I can’t wait to see it, however it is going slow due to slugginess of work internet connection. Can’t really expect much when you share ADSL 1mbps connection between 15-17is computers.

Anyway!, then there is the class changes. Ok, most people already knew some of this, but it was, again, unofficial, from leaked alpha sites. Now, as with Diablo III, this info comes from official sources, and I’m about to have fun with it. After the break, because, if I don’t put a page break, Meara smacks me. Ok, going.

Randomess Strikes Back

Ok this one has nothing to do with WoW…maybe…I don’t know.

A week ago, more or less Wednesday last week actually, I was tasked with building a gaming computer for a client. I gathered information on the desired components the same day, however, I never thought it’d be this hard to actually get prices and orders placed. No provider in the zone has them. I submitted this complaint to my boss and he is working on it, we will see where it goes.

I figure I could give my Nintendo Wii some use, since mom and my brother are out, I can do that without interruptions, so I have been playing Metroid Prime 3: Corruption after raids and while I sit outside waiting for an opening in the raid. It was a bit harsh retaking where I left off because I forgot…where I left off…heh…but I got it now. Good game.

First thunder storm of the season was yesterday afternoon, causing part of the city (which is not much because said city is quite small) to go into a blackout. The office lost power for around an hour and half. Apparently our house was powerless for around 2 and a half hours, by the time power came back it was 30 minutes past raid time. We still grabbed spots for High King and Gruul.

I also toyed around with my brother’s NDS last week, was fun, I played the remake of FF3 and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. Good games both of them, of course I would have loved more time with them but oh well.

2.4.3 Patch Thoughts

Since the whole place is up in speculation about the 2.3.4 being released tomorrow, which i highly doubt since it isn’t off PTR yet. I just think the downtime will only be to release Brutal (Season 4). I’m not gonna talk about it, I don’t PVP that much and I try to avoid it.

So Just a reminder to every one who reads this. I’m going off of MMO-Champion. Things may change from now until release date.

Top 10 WoW Moments, Twice!

Another shared topic from Blog Azeroth by blogger Cathmor. This one has us taking a moment to look back at our past in WoW, and although I don’t really like living in the past, I also think it never hurts to look back and remember our past adventures. This is going to be a 20-top moments actually, 10 for Meara and 10 for Akhellar.

Level 30 meets Dreamwalker
I remember this like it was yesterday, I was standing on the docks of Dark Shore and I’m staring with my mouth open at a Resto Druid in Full Tier 3. Yes I was actually drooling a bit probaly. From that point on, I decided I was gonna be a Balance Druid and get that set. Well…at the time, I didn’t know I wouldn’t have gotten in to hardcore raiding guilds that were doing Naxx by being Boomkin, or the fact the Set was for Resto, but I wanted to Raid, I wanted to be cool and Look cool. All that never happened, but hey, I could dream right?

First mount
When I got my first tiger mount on my rogue I was so proud of myself and felt so accomplished, I remember grinding for a few, just sitting at level 39 while at the same time trying to avoid dinging. Then when I was tired of that I just went to do some battlegrounds, I ended up dinging while turning my 3 marks of honor, back then before patch 2.0 then rushing to darnassus to get my mount, and then just riding all over darnassus until Meara came back to the room (she had gone for a shower).

ZF stairway is the place for this event. I had never done any runs yet, so I had no clue what I was doing at the time, but hey, I had AK there with me and telling me what was going to happen. The only part I can really come up with a picture of what was happening, was Me standing on top of the Stairs in ZF healing the S**t out of every one. I pulled it off, no one died. I felt a big ego boost, but hey I’m not going to heal any more, it’s far to stressful.

First run to Stratholme.
I was with my second guild already, soon after hitting 60, and they put together a run to Stratholme, undead side. Now, at that point, the only runs I had before then were Deadmines (couldn’t get past Smite, hate PuG’s since then), SM but at a higher level than I should have been, and a very catastrophic ZF that didn’t go anywhere. So that was really my first group run. Anyhow, by the time we got to the room before Baron, where you fight the large amount of ugly abominations….my weapons were broken…so Akhellar had to smack a few of them with bare hands. Glad to say I’ve improved since then and I made up for it later on.

Got bored while I was waiting for a raid to start, so I kinda threw together this. It’s of my Druid (In her Boomkin Gear, and Yes It Sucks) and Aemilia my soon to be Death Knight. Yea I threw a little bit of RP story in Aemilia’s Side. You an figure out what the its telling.

Preparing for Wrath

This post is in response to a shared topic in Blog Azeroth made by Phaelia, of Resto4Life. First post published with a specific subject in place, and first time I (or Meara) post a link to this blog, therefore, first public display of it…sort of.

That said, the topic is, as the title states, how are we preparing for the expansion?.
One of the questions was referring to gathering mats for tradeskill. I’ll say it is well known by guildies and my wife how much of a pack rat I am. I think my priest still has that Pristine Hide of the Beast. Anyway, I have lots of Knothide leather to help my leatherworking past 375. Should have some minerals sitting around on my warrior to help with the blacksmithing but then again, I still need to max out that one. And I’d need to collect cloth for my tailors, but I don’t remember having to have a lot of runecloth handy when TBC came out, so maybe I won’t need that much netherweave, just the bunch I have. Same for First Aid. In short, as far as items hoarding and gathering goes, I’ll do it as I go, I’ve been working on my Netherwing rep lately, that gives me a ton of skins to spare, per day.

General Gear?!

I was reading a post on WOW Insider and I thought I might as well post my comments about, witch maybe the same or may not be, but hey I don’t really care about that

So heres the Deal, I’m not sure if this it will apply to melee Dps or not, But that they say is that Damage and Healing, or Healing and Damage Items my go out the window. Witch how they explained making more Generalized gear for All classes, could be a double edged sword.

The Picture on the right is some where to how I picture this gear to look like for casters. I mean Spell Hit for DPS and MP5 for Healers and the basic Stats. Spirit Stam and Intel. Now I know Intel and Spirit is better for priests then stamina, but we do need it as well, nothing like an epic one shot by Gruul’s Cave in, but all casters need Mana regen and Intel.

The one that really changed is the “Spell Power“, now this spell power equals both Damage and Healing, What your talents do with it is what makes it good for you. So for Example, Your a Holy Priest and You get an item like that, Besides the mana /5 helping you out on longevity and your spell hit to help with shackles (If there is, but since Naxx is coming back, I’m sure you will need to). You have a Talent in you tree that says “Increases your Healing by 200% of Your Spell Power” For example. Now 70*2 is we all know it as to be 140 (and god that would still be grate as a chest peace). Now to explain this for a Mage for example, You have a talent in your Say.. Fire tree that says “Increases your Fire Damage by 100% of your Spell Power” Witch is 70. (May not be so grate that way but it’s an Example). Not including talents you would still get your 70 Spell Damage and Healing from the item it self.

So To sum that all up! Your talents work more for you then your actual gear. Now my thoughts on this .. after the brake!
